Looking Refreshed Shouldn't Mean Looking 'Done'

The most common reason people delay Botox is not the needle. It’s the fear of looking unnatural. The frozen forehead. The over-inflated lips. The face that announces itself before the person does. These are not results of good injectable treatment — they are results of poor technique and the wrong dosing philosophy.

At Cosmolaser, we approach every injectable treatment with a single standard: the result should make you look like a well-rested, refreshed version of yourself. Not a different person. Not a younger version from a different decade. You — on a very good day.
This requires clinical skill, restraint, and an understanding of facial anatomy that goes beyond following a protocol. Every face ages differently, every muscle structure is unique, and every patient has a different threshold for what looks natural to them. Our physicians assess all of this at consultation before a single unit of Botox is drawn.

The full Cosmolaser injectables suite — Botox, dermal fillers, lip enhancement, jawline contouring, skin boosters, Profhilo, collagen biostimulators, and PRP facial — is available in Sharjah. One clinic. One consistent standard of care. No referrals, no compromises.

Botox Treatment Areas at Cosmolaser

Botox works by temporarily relaxing overactive muscles to smooth dynamic wrinkles and reshape facial features. At Cosmolaser, we treat:

Treatment Area

What It Addresses

Duration

Forehead Lines

Horizontal lines from raised eyebrows. Most commonly treated area.

3–4 months

Frown Lines (Glabella)

The vertical '11 lines' between the eyebrows. Creates a more relaxed, open expression.

3–5 months

Crow's Feet

Fine lines at the outer corners of the eyes from smiling and squinting.

3–4 months

Brow Lift

Strategic placement lifts the outer brow, opening the eye and giving a subtle lift.

3–4 months

Bunny Lines

Lines across the nose bridge from scrunching. Often appear after forehead Botox alone.

3–4 months

Lip Flip

Relaxes the upper lip muscle to create a subtle pout without filler.

2–3 months

Gummy Smile

Reduces upper lip elevation when smiling to show less gum. Quick and highly effective.

3–4 months

Downturned Mouth

Lifts the corners of the mouth by relaxing the depressor anguli oris muscle.

3–4 months

Chin Dimpling

Smooths a pebbly or dimpled chin ('orange peel' texture) caused by mentalis overactivity.

3–5 months

Neck Bands (Nefertiti)

Relaxes platysmal bands for a smoother, more youthful neck and improved jawline.

3–4 months

Masseter / Jaw Slimming

Reduces the masseter muscle bulk for a slimmer, more oval facial shape. Also treats TMJ/bruxism.

4–6 months

Hyperhidrosis

Excessive underarm or palmar sweating. Dramatically reduces sweat production.

6–12 months

Baby Botox

Micro-dosing technique for very natural, movement-preserving results. Popular in 20s–30s.

2–3 months

Beyond Botox The Full Cosmolaser Injectables Menu

Botox addresses muscle movement and dynamic wrinkles. It does not restore volume, improve skin quality, or address skin laxity. For comprehensive facial rejuvenation, Botox is most effective as part of a broader injectable approach:

Timeline

What You'll Notice

Dermal Fillers (HA)

Restores facial volume. Treats nasolabial folds, tear troughs, cheeks, temples, and jawline. Hyaluronic acid — reversible.

6–18 months

Lip Fillers

Adds volume, definition, and shape to lips. Can address asymmetry, thin lips, or enhance the cupid's bow.

6–12 months

Jawline & Chin Filler

Defines the jawline, projects the chin, and improves profile balance. No surgery required

12–18 months

Cheek Filler

Restores mid-face volume lost with age. Provides natural lift and structure.

12–18 months

Tear Trough Filler

Treats under-eye hollowing and dark circles caused by volume loss. Delicate area requiring specialist technique.

9–12 months

Skin Boosters (e.g. Juvederm Volite)

Micro-injections of HA improve skin hydration, texture, and glow — not volume. Excellent for fine lines and dull skin.

6–9 months

Profhilo

Bio-remodelling injectable that stimulates collagen and elastin. Improves overall skin laxity and quality — not a filler.

2 sessions · lasts 6 months

Collagen Biostimulators (Sculptra / Radiesse)

Stimulate the body's own collagen production over weeks. Gradual, long-lasting volume restoration.

18–24 months

PRP Facial (Platelet-Rich Plasma)

Uses the patient's own growth factors injected into skin to stimulate collagen, improve texture, and reduce fine lines.

Results build over 3–6 months

Most patients benefit from a combination of treatments rather than a single one. At your consultation, your physician will recommend the most effective sequence — whether that’s Botox alone, fillers alone, or a combination protocol addressing multiple concerns in the same session.

Baby Botox & Preventative Treatment For Patients in Their 20s and 30s

Botox is no longer a treatment reserved for visible wrinkles. An increasing number of patients in their mid-twenties and thirties are using low-dose ‘baby Botox’ not to correct existing lines — but to prevent them forming in the first place.

The principle is straightforward: expression lines deepen because the same muscle contractions are repeated thousands of times over years. By mildly reducing the intensity of those contractions early, the crease that would eventually become a permanent line simply does not form.

What Baby Botox Involves

Baby Botox is not a different product — it is a different dosing and placement technique. It requires an injector who understands how to use less, not simply how to inject. At Cosmolaser, conservative dosing is our default for all patients — not a premium add-on.

What to Expect

Your Injectable Treatment at Cosmolaser

Let’s Build Your Skincare Routine Together

We’re with you every step of the way.

01

Free Consultation (30 minutes)

Your physician reviews your concerns, examines your facial anatomy, muscle movement, and skin quality. A personalised treatment plan is recommended — including which products, doses, and areas to address. No obligation to proceed on the same day.

02

Pre-Treatment Preparation

No special preparation is needed for Botox. For fillers, avoid blood thinners (aspirin, ibuprofen, vitamin E) for 48 hours before treatment to reduce bruising risk. Remove makeup before your appointment. Topical anaesthetic cream is applied to the treatment area 20–30 minutes before injection if desired.

03

Treatment (15–45 minutes)

Botox: multiple precise micro-injections using an ultra-fine needle. Mild stinging sensation lasting 1–2 seconds per injection. The procedure itself takes 15–30 minutes for a standard treatment. Fillers take slightly longer depending on areas treated.

04

Immediate Aftercare

Avoid touching the treated area for 4 hours. Avoid lying flat, strenuous exercise, and heat (sauna, steam room) for 24 hours. Do not take aspirin or anti-inflammatories for 24 hours post-treatment. Minor redness, swelling, or pinpoint bruising at injection sites is normal and resolves within 24–72 hours.

05

Results Timing

Botox: initial results visible within 3–5 days. Full result at 10–14 days. A complimentary review appointment is offered at 2 weeks to assess the result and add a small top-up if needed. Fillers: results are immediate, though minor swelling in the first 48 hours is normal. Final settled result is visible at 2 weeks.

06

Maintenance

Botox lasts 3–5 months depending on the area and your metabolism. Regular treatment every 3–4 months provides the best cumulative effect — muscles weaken over time with repeat treatment, meaning the same result may require fewer units. Fillers are topped up as needed — many patients find they need less product on subsequent visits as the hyaluronic acid integrates with tissue.

Botox or Fillers — Which Do You Need?

The most common question at injectable consultations. The answer depends on what is causing your concern:

Concern

Botox

Fillers

Expression lines (move when you frown/smile)

✓ Ideal treatment

✗ Will not address

Static lines (visible at rest)

✓ Softens mild cases

✓ Fills deeper cases

Volume loss (hollow cheeks, temples)

✗ Does not add volume

✓ Ideal treatment

Thin or asymmetric lips

✓ Lip flip only (minor)

✓ Full volume and shape

Jawline definition

✓ Masseter slimming

✓ Structural definition

Under-eye hollows

✗ Not appropriate

✓ Tear trough filler

Sagging skin / jowls

✓ Limited (neck lift effect)

✓ Filler for structural lift

Skin quality / glow

✗ No skin quality effect

✓ Skin boosters / Profhilo

Excessive sweating

✓ Highly effective

✗ Not applicable

Gummy smile

✓ Highly effective

✗ Not applicable

Most patients in their 30s and above benefit from a combination of both. Botox relaxes the muscles causing lines. Fillers restore the volume that has been lost. The two treatments work together rather than competing — and this is how the most natural and comprehensive results are achieved.

Frequently Asked Questions

We’ve gathered the most common questions to help you feel informed, confident, and ready for your journey with us.

How much does Botox cost in Sharjah?
Botox pricing in Sharjah is typically calculated per area or per unit. Per-area pricing ranges from AED 600–1,200 per treatment zone. A standard forehead + frown line + crow's feet treatment (the most common combination) typically costs AED 1,500–2,500 in a reputable licensed clinic. At Cosmolaser, precise pricing is provided at your free consultation after assessing the number of units required for your anatomy and goals. We do not advertise rock-bottom introductory prices — our pricing reflects physician administration and medical-grade products.
Does Botox hurt?
Most patients describe Botox injections as a mild stinging sensation lasting 1–2 seconds per injection — comparable to a small insect bite. The needle used is ultra-fine (30G or 32G), and the injection volume is tiny. For sensitive areas like the lip flip or crow's feet, topical numbing cream is applied beforehand. The entire treatment typically takes under 20 minutes. The vast majority of patients are surprised by how manageable it is.
Will I look natural after Botox? Will people know I've had it done?
This is the most common concern our patients raise — and the one we take most seriously. The answer depends entirely on the dosing philosophy of your injector. At Cosmolaser, we use conservative doses designed to soften lines and relax overactive muscles while preserving natural expression and movement. The goal is to look refreshed and rested — not 'done'. If you've seen frozen foreheads or expressionless faces, that is a result of over-treatment, not a result of Botox itself.
How long does Botox last?
Botox typically lasts 3–5 months depending on the treatment area, the number of units used, and your individual metabolism. Forehead and frown lines typically last 3–4 months. Masseter (jaw slimming) lasts 4–6 months. Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) lasts up to 12 months. Patients who maintain regular Botox every 3–4 months often find their results extend over time as the muscles gradually weaken and require fewer units.
What is the difference between Botox and fillers?
Botox relaxes muscles to reduce dynamic wrinkles — lines that form from facial movement (frowning, squinting, smiling). It cannot add volume or change facial structure. Fillers are injectable gels (usually hyaluronic acid) that add volume, definition, and structure — used for lips, cheeks, jawline, and under-eyes. They cannot relax muscles. Many patients need both: Botox for expression lines, fillers for volume loss. Your physician will advise the right combination for your concerns at consultation.
Are fillers safe? Can they be reversed?
Hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers — the most commonly used type — are considered highly safe and are fully reversible using an enzyme called hyaluronidase, which dissolves the filler within 24–48 hours if needed. This makes HA fillers the preferred choice for new patients. Other filler types (Sculptra, Radiesse, Bellafill) are not reversible in the same way — these are recommended for experienced patients with a clear long-term treatment plan. At Cosmolaser, all filler treatments use licensed, medical-grade products and are performed only by physician-level practitioners.
What is baby Botox and is it suitable for younger patients?
Baby Botox refers to a micro-dosing technique using significantly lower Botox doses than standard treatment. It preserves full facial movement and expression — lines are softened, not eliminated. It is particularly suitable for patients in their mid-twenties to mid-thirties who want a preventative approach, or those who want a very natural first-time experience before committing to standard dosing. Results typically last 2–3 months due to the lower dose — more frequent maintenance is needed, but the result is very natural.
Is there any downtime after Botox or fillers?
No significant downtime. You can return to work and normal daily activities immediately after treatment. Minor redness or pinpoint bruising at injection sites is common and resolves within 24–72 hours. Slight swelling after lip or cheek filler is normal in the first 24–48 hours. We recommend avoiding strenuous exercise, saunas, alcohol, and blood-thinning medications for 24 hours after treatment. Full results are assessed at the 2-week mark.
